By now you should all have seen it and checked it out... what do you think? As well as the actual content, I'd appreciate any feedback on the formatting and editing etc. Before you say it, there are plenty of "orcy" spelling mistakes in there and I can assure you it was intentional Wink

I think it's brilliant. It's provided incentive for me to do my own, but I think anything I'd do would turn out vastly inferior as a) can't paint that well and b) don't have a decent camera Smile

So c'mon people, tell him how great he is then get off your arses and do something yourself and send it to me!! david.candlish@convergys.com

Just has to be words on a page... I'll do the rest!

I'd post a vote but I hate to make like I'm, from florida and make an uninformed voting decision...

What's this thing of which you speak, diary?

Found it... HOLY CRAP ! ! ! ! That is awesome... and yes... the hideousness of that cheerleader will haunt me for the rest of my days. As soon as I get back from the honeymoon I'm gonna do one about my orc team... then look at it realize it sucks compared to Squiggs, melt the team down into musket balls (like Mel Gibson in The Patriot) and then shoot myself in the head becuase Squigg's are soooo much better.... Thanks alot ... YOU BASTARDS ! ! ! ! Evil or Very Mad

Mr. Green

Excellent work.
at first, i thought it was purely a 'painting guide' for orc. But it's a real orc team diary! Laughing
Everything from day one has been compiled. 2 thumbs up! Smile

Couple of comments from the old Norseman...

1) Some work in progress shots would have really helped.. I have had the pleasure of seeing this team (and being beaten into second place in both painting competitions!) on 2 occassions... Squigg says things like "I swapped a hand" which actually means he took 4 hours to sculpt a finger from greenstuff... I think seeing the models as they sat in pieces with green stuff everywhere would really have encouraged others to have tried "Konverting" in an Orky style...

2) Squigg's new Black Orc is called Ramzy... Very Happy

3) He needs to work on his spelling.. Razz

4) I'm still better.. Rolling Eyes

All told though, really good work.. I enjoyed the diary bits, but he needs to take more piccies!!

I agree with you, but unfortunately he hadn't taken any WIP shots. I also tried to get the GW part numbers he used but it proved too difficult in the end. Still, it's a great first article and I can only see the next one (Lizardmen) getting better...

PS If you're that much better why don't you do one and send it in? Wink

Because I'm too busy painting stuff for other people!!
Twisted Evil
and I don't have a digi-cam! Sad

I'm looking forward to the Lizardmen as well though... I hope he can play with them better than Orcses though... Rolling Eyes

I agree that some WIP pictures would have made this better. That, and a picture of the team in action. Otherwise, I like this. Smile

I think martijn's army is looking great I've whitnessed it on the masacre and it inspired me on making a rat ogre cheerleader. But now I'm still wondering how many nipples does a female rat have ? If anybodey knows could you please make a reply

And I've also played vs. Ramsey's Orcs, that team is also beatyfully painted.

I guess it's an Orc thing Orcs are realy cool to convert you can get away with converting them really over the top, looking great cause hey... they're orcs

I'm now working on my orc for Brewhouse Bash He's got a cue in his one hand and he's waving a bar stool in his other hand and it's looking great. When it's finished I'll send a picture to the forum.

Having seen the team in action twice it's great to read the background. I'd would have liked it even more with more elobarate descriptions of the converting and the painting, but non the less: it's great.

It did inspire me to keep a log of the progress of my nuns. So far I've come to the removing of moulding lines.... So there a long road ahead.
