Gladiator Cup 2022

Saturday June 25, 2022
Venue:
Royal City Brewery
199 Victoria Rd S, Guelph, ON N1E 3J3
Schedule:
8:30 – Registration
9:00 – Round 1
11:15 – Lunch Break (Ordering in Pizza)
12:30 – Round 2 (Swiss)
2:45 – Break
3:00 – Round 3 (Swiss)
5:15 – Break
5:30 – Round 4 (Swiss/Finals)
7:45 – Break
8:00 – Results/Awards/Cleanup
Roster Submission:
Due to the tight time-frame, it is requested that rosters be submitted to me by e-mail (huberman.sean [at] gmail.com) by June 22.
Cost:
The tournament will cost $20 for NAF members (Note: +$5 if non-NAF member for NAF registration).
There will also be an optional pizza lunch for an additional $5 per person.
Please let me know of any dietary restrictions.
Note: There will be an optional 50-50 draw ($5 cost for 3 tickets) to help raise funds for GLAM tournament series prizes.
Early-Bird Bonuses:
Gain +1 Dedicated Fans for each of the following
- Submit roster by June 11
- Send payment by June 11
Squads:
- This tournament will be a squad-based tournament
- Each squad will consist of two coaches
- You may form your own squads, or sign up independently and I will match you with another coach
- There is no tiering restrictions between squad members (they can also play same race)
Highlights:
- Squads of two coaches
- Swiss-style match-ups (by squad then by coach) after game 1
- Squad points will be (W/T/L): 2/1/0
- Individual points will be (W/T/L): 5/2/0
- Tiebreakers will be strength of schedule, TD differential, casualty differential
- Illegal procedure will not be enforced
- All NAF sanctioned teams are eligible
Rules (Using the Eurobowl ruleset)
Teams are built using 1,150,000 gold pieces for players, rerolls, coaches, cheerleaders, apothocaries and inducements. Minimum of 11 players before Stars.
One player may stack 2 skills. Both skills must be primary, however the second skill counts as one of your secondarys.
Permitted inducements are:
• Halfling Master Chef 0-1
• Bloodweiser Kegs 0-2
• Bribes 0-3 (Bribes cannot be taken in a Team with a Player that starts with, or is given the Sneaky Git Skill. Bribes gained from the ‘Get The Ref’ kick-off result are still allowed.)
• Wandering Apothecaries 0-2
• Mortuary Assistant 0-1
• Plague Doctor 0-1
Tier 1:
Wood Elf, Dark Elf, Shambling Undead, Chaos Dwarf, Dwarf, Orcs, Lizardmen
- 6 Primary Skills
- 4 Primary Skills + 1 Secondary Skill
- 3 Primary Skills + Access to 1 Star Player
- 0 Primary Skill + Access to 2 Star Players
Tier 2:
Skaven, Amazons, Norse, Necromantic Horror, Human, Underworld Denizens:
- 7 Primary Skills
- 5 Primary Skills + 1 Secondary Skill
- 4 Primary Skills + Access to 1 Star Player

Tier 3:

Some star players require you to sacrifce additional skills to be able to hire them. You must reduce the additional skills on your team by the amounts listed below in order to hire one of these Stars:
