I am not sure how many people echo this sentiment, but I am not a fan of the six game tourneys. Maybe I am just too old now, but three games in one day is plenty enough for me. I like to have more time to hang out and play games with everyone after the first day is done. |

We can always put it up as a poll as to what people would prefer to play 3 & 3 or 4 & 2 |

I am not asking you to modify this year's event on my account. One thing which most of us realized years ago was that we preferred doing the two days on the Sunday for those who have to travel.
I am just saying that I prefer the five game tourneys, but that is just me sharing my opinion. |

From everything I have heard from Folks thats what we are going to do. Also the reason I set it up for 4 & 2 so out of town folks can leave in good time on the sunday |

I think where Spazz was going with this was that most Tournament Organizers have changed the format of their events to 5 games instead of 6 games in total (3 Sat & 2 Sunday). This way you only have 3 games on Saturday and more time to socialize and play other games or have dinner and drinks together and still just the 2 games on Sunday for people travelling to get home a little earlier.
I personally don't mind either way. 4 games can be a grind in one day but also 6 games of Swiss pairing will usually require less tie breakers as the separation or division of opponents records will take place naturally with more outcomes to do so.
That's also us older folk that have been playing in tournaments for almost 20yrs lol, as we have become more and more about the people at the events and less about just the game itself...we may also be at risk of just falling asleep, needing a nap or in some cases passing out by the time a 4th game rolls around haha..not mentioning any names of course |

Wondering about location if someone can confirm? Facebook page still says original location while on here in the Forum it mentions a new location, while under the Tourney info it still has the original as well.
Thanks! |
