We are new to the game but just wanted to make sure we are playing the correct way.

example: Norse Blitzer (with frenzy and strip ball skills) blocks a human linemen get s push. With frenzy must follow up and block again. But does the stripping of the ball come before the second block or after all blocking is finished?

We think after the all the block to see where the players ends up.

thanks

Yup, the ball is dropped after the first pushback. But, the ball is dropped from the square he was in before the pushback. So after the scatter, the guy who dropped the ball has a 1:8 chance fo having the ball scatter into the square he was pushed back in.. Then he can attempt to pick it up again.. hehe..

The ball is always dropped from the square the player ends up in. So it would scatter from the square where the player is pushed back to after the first pushback. So the player who had the ball can only get it back if it scatters off another player.

After working out the scatter and waiting until the ball comes to rest somewhere you make the next Frenzy block. If the player is then pushed back onto the ball he can't try to pick it up, it just scatters again.

Okay, so does the Frenzy player move forward before scatter is worked out?

I'd say Yes.

Follow up first, scatter next.

This is one of the flaws in Frenzy.

You're player might end up with a ball he can't use that turn

Is a real bummer that is Confused

The real question is why you gave someone Frenzy and Strip Ball, KNOWING they'd be doing forced follow-ups...

Yes, you must always decide whether to follow-up or not before scattering the ball and Frenzy players always follow-up. If you failed to make the follow-up first then the ball might land in the square the Frenzy player was about to follow-up into. This would put them in the awkward position of having to pick up the ball before making the compulsory second block. The Frenzy follow-up rules prevent this happening.

Order of turn:

1) Block/Blitz is thrown.
2) If pushed, frenzy'er must follow up.
3) Ball is scattered from square opponent was pushed to, until someone catches it or it comes to rest on the ground.
4) If opponent is still standing, Frenzy'er must throw another block.
5) If pushed, Frenzy'er must follow up.
6) Blocker may continue moving if it was a Blitz and has movement left.

That makes sense, just wanted to make sure.

The player that had the ball stripped from him may never get it back. This because a player pushed into the ball may not try to pick it up. The ball just scatters again.

LRB p. 9

"Players that move into the square with the ball at other
times (ie, when pushed back, etc) can???t pick up the ball,
and instead it will bounce one square. This does not
cause a turnover. See Bouncing Balls on page 14."

Can't the frenzied player decide on which block/push to impliment the skill or not use it at all, as it and all skills are optional.

All skills are optional uless stated in the skill description. So, no, you do not have to use Strip Ball if you dont want to.

If I remember right Frenzy is the only non-optional skill.

It should also be pointed out that if the ball is scattered onto the frenzying player and he fails to catch it, it does not cause a turnover. (sorry if i'm stating the obvious but it was a while until I realised this myself)
