Post subject: Painting competition on the site!

I'd really like to see this site run a painting comp or multiple comps. It could include different categories like the last tourny I was in:
*Best Painted Team
*Best Painted Miniature
*Best Conversion
A prize would be great but I'm sure we'd all be happy just to participate. 
I'd propose for it to be run like this:
*Announce comp - category, start and end dates to upload pics, end date for voting.
*After upload end date allow voting to start.
*After voting end date announce winner
Obviously there would be some issues to tackle first..
*Picture size limits
*Who can vote? Anyone who vists site? If this is the case it could be open to abuse. Only NAF members? There may not be enough votes to go around.
*How will voting work? A vote = 1, most votes wins. A rating given out of 10, best average wins?
*Should voting results be hidden until the end of voting?
Is this feasible for this site? Thoughts? |

Sounds like fun!
I'd go for votes instead of ratings I guess.
And categories could be...
Best team
Best Star Player (d'oh! Don't have any original models  )
Best Big Guy
Best Player
Best Coach
Best Ref
Battle Scene (like an Open Category)
You know, stuff like that. Like in Golden Deamon, but only with BB models. |

It would be best to do just one category, at TBB we didn't have enough people submit stuff for more than one.
anyways, I'd suggest starting it after the BB. I know I am too busy to think about anything until then |

Yeah I thought lack of entries might be an issue, so a painting comp could be run at 3 or 6 monthly intervals with a different category each time. |

Well atleast you're honest...not delusional about how good you are!! 
But remember, you'd still be able to participate by voting. Even if there are only five entries for a comp we'd still have 200+ potential voters. But as AnthonyTBBF said nothings gonna happen until after the big BB tourny. |
