That would be the Island one...
...just be glad it isn't the military one, the MP's would wonder about the chainsaw sticking out of your luggage. |

Ok, couple more dumb traveller questions.
1. What's the best way to get from toronto to Oakville? ---would any locals be willing to help a brother out?
2. Any recommendations on hotels in the area?
thanks,
Ken |

There is a cheap Motel 6 (I think) on Britannia which is not far relatively speaking.
I should imagine you could get a bus. They all seem to go to and from the big shopping complex (Square One I think).
This is from memory of a visit 3 years ago, so some local comments would be helpful.

The best way to get from Toronto to Oakville is via the GO Train (http://www.gotransit.com/publicroot/default.htm) which leaves from Union Station. The nearest station to GW is Clarkson although the Oakville station isn't that much farther, so either will work. From there it is a short taxi ride. I'm not too sure what weekend schedules are like, train service over here isn't that great. Unless you have a burning desire to be in Toronto I'd suggest staying in Oakville or the west part of Mississauga since it is much closer.
Just a word of warning, weekend transit services out here suck unless you are in downtown Toronto, be sure to check out schedules ahead of time! |

I'm booked at the Fairfield Inn in Oakville and I will have a car - I believe JKL is going to be staying with me but if anyone wants to book there, I will certainly have a car and can take a couple more... |

Very cool, OMM! You always seem to be the first one who is prepared. Good to hear JKL is coming up too, another chance to have a tiebreaker game against him!
Come to think of it OMM, I'm surprised to say I've still never played you... One of these days!
Right in the kisser! |

Yours or mine, Twist?
I've only made it across the border twice so it's not surprising really... hope we get a chance in a few weeks... |

Hello all, i live near GW Oakville and could possibly arrange to help Transport people around staying fairly close to the tourney. Are there lots of people staying in Toronto? or closer to Oakville. Toronto is a bit too far for my liking.
Anyway let me know if some of you out of towners might be needing some transportation.
