Does anybody have a good idea how to make BloodBowl scale beer cans? Without using putty that is...

Maybe you could cut small pieces of a thick piece of (metal) wire?
Not very detailed though...

Well, details can be greenstuffed I guess, it's more the basic shape I'm looking for - I want squashed cans on some of my bases (with Orcy Cola print off course Wink)

You might try to take a piece of rod the right diameter and Aluminium foil. Wrap a strip of the foil as broad as a can (in BB) around the rod, glue it stuck on itself (not on the rod, so you create a ring of foil around the rod) paint the picture you want on it and then take it off the rod and squish it between your thumb and finger; maybe that would give a realistic result (at least it is created in a realistic way...)
It is a lot of annoying work though, I'd think.
Never tried it myself, and I don't feel like trying that myself either.

try thing wood dowl, you can get it at many hobby shops, particularly the kind that sell the wooden boats people build.

It can't be crushed though Wink

useful if you were making a six-pack for example

it is easy to do in GS tho, just roll a big sausage (*ahem*) then chop bits off...

I would wrap some tin foil around a dowel a few times and crush it.

For whole cans i would use a piece of round plastic, details could then be made with Greenstuff. The plastic is available from sprues of minis and bases.
I know not all of them are round, but some are.

Thanks for the tips so far, I think I'll start trying out that aluminium/tin foil round a rod-method first... Anyone knows what a can of Orcy Cola looks like? (The only food-related thing I can remember having seen in a BloodBowl pic is Pop Khorne... Wink)
cheers,

Martijn

Hmm, why don't you want to use putty? A bit of the "stuff" seems like the best and quickest way to get these done.
