Question

Answer

How do I become a NAF member?

Simply select "Join the NAF" from the menu and you'll be taken through a few easy steps. Even a hobgoblin could do it. Also, many NAF tournaments will have a NAF representative present who will be able to sign you up on the spot.

How long will it take to ship my membership packet?

You can expect anywhere from 4 to 10 weeks, depending on several factors... including the distance from our headquarters and the busy lives of our volunteer staff. If you don't get your packet in 10 weeks, you should probably let us know by contacting one of the membership organisers, or posting on the forums. Please note, however, that the 10 weeks starts from when your account is fully updated with your correct address information - we can't send you anything if we don't know where you live! Whatever you do, please DO NOT post a question to the FAQ section asking about your membership package - we have no way of telling who sent the question and can't help you out!

Are you going to allow me to buy membership without using Pay Pal?

We would very much like to have a secure credit card payment system set up, but for now the only other way is to buy a membership at a tournament.

What is Blood Bowl?

In the Warhammer world, death and destruction are commonplace occurrences, but nothing can match the violence and carnage generated in a single Blood Bowl match! For those of you new to Blood Bowl, imagine a game of Warhammer crossed with American football and rugby, and you'll have something close to the maniacal, bone-crushing, mind-jarring action of a Blood Bowl match.

Where can I buy the game?

Check your local hobby store, or if they don't carry it try http://www.games-workshop.com.

How much does it cost to join the NAF?

The cost is $10(US) annually. This cost helps cover of the website, special premiums and the cheer-leader outfits.

Who do I contact if I want to run a tournament?

Contact your Regional Tournament Co-ordinator, or contact the Tournament Director if there is no RTC for your region.(see the Contact Us page for email addresses of our current RTCs).

I will be attending a NAF sanctioned event. How do I present my membership information?

NAF events will need two pieces of information from you. The first will be your NAF login. The second is your NAF Membership Number. Make sure you give your NAF username and don't confuse it with a different username you may use on a different Blood Bowl website!

How do I get an avatar?

Just go to your profile section in the forums. At the bottom of the page is a space where you can link to one or upload one from your computer.

When are tournament results posted?

It's up to your region's Tournament Co-ordinator to facilitate tournament postings, typically it should happen within two or three weeks after a tournament. Tournaments must be entered in order so delays could happen if people are late.

How do I send in my tournament results?

Tournament results are submitted by the Regional Tournament Co-ordinator, so all you need to do is show up and play.

Is it allowed to have none-NAF players in a NAF Sanctioned Tournament? If yes, how are they treated?

Yes you can play non-NAF members. The game is not recorded, nor will it affect NAF rating. This is because, among other reasons, we have no means of recording the skill of a non-NAF coach.

Is there any way I can track my Membership Kit? I cant wait for my dice!

Sorry, we have no way to track your kit at the moment.

Do only NAF tourneys count or any game against another NAF member?

Only games against NAF members at a NAF sanctioned tournament count for results at the present time.

I own several different teams. Will I have one ranking no matter how many races I play or a separate ranking for each race?

You have a seperate ranking for each race.

I want a picture to appear on my account!

Sorry, it would frighten the children.

Can I change my user name?

If you really really really want to have it changed, please send an email to nafmembership@hotmail.co.uk

I think I've joined twice.

You aren't special enough to have two accounts. If your account is messed up please pm or mail the staff.

I didn't receive my activation code! What do I do?

Some people (especially AOL users) aren't getting their activations codes by email because of paranoid spam filters on some ISPs. If you don't get your activation code, please contact the Membership Director from the Contact Us section.

What are the different types of tournament styles?

Check out "How to Run a Successful Blood Bowl Tournament" in Sections for more info.

What does NAF stand for?

Nuffle Amorical Football

When and how was the NAF founded and by whom?

The NAF was originally Jervis Johnson's idea. He pitched it to the Blood Bowl community and our first President, John K Lewis, took responsibility for it. Major early "players" included Anthony Watts, our first Vice-President, and our webmaster Christer. Brian St. James & James Wood also provided invaluable assistance along the way. More recently, Andy Hall at Fanatic and the rest of the NAF staff, especially the NTOs (now RTCs) have all contributed to make the NAF what it is today.

How can I find my member ID number before I have my membership card?

If you signed up at a tournament then chances are you'll be a member of the site before you receive your official letter. To find your member number, simply check out the memberlist and look for your username. Ask a member of staff if you get stuck. Alternatively, you may have joined but not received your package but you then attend a tournament. You won't need your membership number as long as you make it clear to the organiser what your NAF username is/will be, and it might be worth telling your RTC too.

Where do I go and pay to renew my for my membership?

Click on the 'Membership Status' link on the left navigation menu.

Is there anywhere that we can buy more color block dice?

Unfortunately not. The NAF dice are only available when you take out your membership, and we sadly aren't able to sell them individually.
